Introduction
Some signs of mental illness are obvious, but others are not. The signs of mental illness that are not obvious are ones that appear to be normal human behavior. These symptoms of mental illness easily blend into society because there’s a lot of mental illness out there. The more common something exists, the more normal it seems. But these signs of mental illness I am about to highlight, as normal as they might seem, are far from normal. They are indicators of mental illness. If you observe any of the following criteria, there is a high likelihood the subject suffers from mental illness. The more criteria they check off, the more likely they are mentally ill. The criteria I outline below are not anything you would see in a psychology textbook.
These are criteria that I recognize as signs of mental illness. It helps me spot mental illness in the wild- in every day life. It’s helpful.
